Jay-Z turned Yankee Stadium into a celebration of The Blueprint on July 11, marking the influential album’s 25th anniversary with a career-spanning performance. Official attendance figures listed 45,832 tickets sold, setting a new concert attendance record for the stadium.
During the show, the Brooklyn rapper performed key tracks from the 2001 album, including The Ruler’s Back, Izzo (H.O.V.A.), Girls, Girls, Girls, U Don’t Know, and Song Cry. The set also included music from other stages of his catalog, giving the night a broader look at his career.
Several surprise guests added to the anniversary theme. Slick Rick appeared during the concert, while Eminem joined Jay-Z for Renegade, their collaboration from The Blueprint. Pharrell Williams later took the stage for an extended run of songs from their long working relationship.
The concert was the second night of Jay-Z’s three-show Yankee Stadium residency. Each performance focused on a different part of his catalog, with the July 11 event placing The Blueprint at the center of the evening.
